Surah Al-Muddaththir (المدثر) — The Cloaked One
Surah Al-Muddaththir is chapter 74 of the Holy Quran. It has 56 verses and was revealed in Makkah. Read it below with Arabic text and Saheeh International English translation, with audio recitation available in the reader.
يَـٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلْمُدَّثِّرُ
74:1. O you who covers himself [with a garment],
قُمْ فَأَنذِرْ
74:2. Arise and warn.
وَرَبَّكَ فَكَبِّرْ
74:3. And your Lord glorify.
وَثِيَابَكَ فَطَهِّرْ
74:4. And your clothing purify.
وَٱلرُّجْزَ فَٱهْجُرْ
74:5. And uncleanliness avoid.
وَلَا تَمْنُن تَسْتَكْثِرُ
74:6. And do not confer favor to acquire more.
وَلِرَبِّكَ فَٱصْبِرْ
74:7. But for your Lord be patient.
