Surah Ya-Sin (يس) — Ya Sin

يسٓ

36:1. Yā, Seen.

وَٱلْقُرْءَانِ ٱلْحَكِيمِ

36:2. By the wise Qur’ān,

إِنَّكَ لَمِنَ ٱلْمُرْسَلِينَ

36:3. Indeed you, [O Muḥammad], are from among the messengers,

عَلَىٰ صِرَٰطٍ مُّسْتَقِيمٍ

36:4. On a straight path.

تَنزِيلَ ٱلْعَزِيزِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ

36:5. [This is] a revelation of the Exalted in Might, the Merciful,

لِتُنذِرَ قَوْمًا مَّآ أُنذِرَ ءَابَآؤُهُمْ فَهُمْ غَـٰفِلُونَ

36:6. That you may warn a people whose forefathers were not warned, so they are unaware.

لَقَدْ حَقَّ ٱلْقَوْلُ عَلَىٰٓ أَكْثَرِهِمْ فَهُمْ لَا يُؤْمِنُونَ

36:7. Already the word [i.e., decree] has come into effect upon most of them, so they do not believe.
